Philippines typhoon

International relief is being airlifted into the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan which has caused widespread devastation and killed more than ten thousand people. Relief workers are struggling to reach some of the more remote areas affected by the typhoon. Pope Francis is urging people around the world to send aid to the Philippines, and U-S President Barack Obama has issued a statement saying he's deeply saddened by the loss of life and extensive damage caused by the storm. Our Washington Correspondent Simon Marks says U-S aid is now on its way.

Greece

Greece's conservative-socialist coalition government survived a no-confidence motion tabled by the main opposition Radical Left Coalition party following an often heated three-day parliamentary debate. The motion fell well short of the 151 votes needed to pass, with 124 lawmakers voting in favor and 153 against. One socialist lawmaker voted in favor of the motion and was promptly expelled from her party's parliamentary group. The motion was also supported by the Communist Party, the right-wing populist Independent Greeks and the extreme right Golden Dawn.

Looking at the weather across Taiwan ...

We can expect ....

Mostly cloudy skies and occasional rain in the north - w/ a high of 23 in
Taipei.

And .... partly cloudy skies in the center and south - w/ a high of 27 in
Taichong and a high of 29 in the Gaoxiong area.

Reflection

    This was my first time to do the E-zine and actually I felt very happy when we finished our E-zine.Our group's topic is to travel to south Taiwan,including Tainan, Kaohsiung and Kenting. The place or the hotel we introduced have invited by us. Actually, when the time we did the E-zine,we met the midterm exam. It was hard to do the E-zine and prepare the midterm in the same time.However, the E-zine was finished in the end. Penny, one of our teammate, she did all the layout herself and though we had group discuss before. I still felt Penny was very great.I learned a lot from this work,such as the painting software and the websites I never knew before.Therefore,I also made two new friends during this work.I ever thought maybe i would not know the people who sit opposite to me. However, through the work of E-zine, I knew them and found that they were kind people. It was a good memory to me.
